Intro

George Richards is an artist living near Stroud in Gloucestershire. He uses the new digital media to create both giclée prints and experimental films.
At present, George is working on a totally new area: Stereo. This work will include prints, sound and films. The first piece from this project to be exhibited was Beauty & the Spider shown as part of the Beauty & the Beast show at Lansdown, Stroud. See the stereo page for the latest developments.
In 2007, a self-imposed project to create a completed film on each day of the month of July culminated in a set of films called A Month of Movies. Watch all thirty one films here.
As part of the Lorca in England festival held in Stroud in June 2011, George contributed a film called Stike at the Moon. The film was inspired by the poem 'El Concierto Interrumpido' by Federico Garcia Lorca and may be found here.
Inverse Square Law is a series of nine prints each 15cm square. The content and arrangement is still fluid and so keep an eye on the Inverse Square Law page for new developements. A version of the work was exhibited in the Impact 6 exhibition at Spike Island Studios in Bristol.
Some of George's prints were shown in the Impress '09 National Printmaking Festival in Stroud, Glos, UK during February and March 2009 in the foyer of the Apollo Cinema, Stroud.
One of George's prints was exhibited in Gloucester Royal Hospital's The Foster Gallery and, as part of the Elixia Screenings, his films 'A Month of Movies' screened in the Digital Gallery. One of these films was also included in the 2008 Advent Art online digital gallery.
